First of all, everything has to work in …

At the moment I am designing my homepage like a Twitter account. Of course this is not possible! Add to that the little faux pas on Twitch that I have to deal with … So today I have already reset the audio settings in OBS, the system settings and the streaming apps. I finally hear the alerts and the background music doesn’t lead to a sudden hearing loss in me  👻 💀

This was the first step towards better communication. Now I’ll make a large piece of paper reminding me to show the current camera. 😚 It  would be great if the viewers could send me a beep through the chat. I couldn’t do it with a command. I have to look at the plugins to see if there is something like that. But it is more important that I keep an eye on you on Twitch.

And now to my blog! Every day I will scribble or blot and maybe write something about it. I think it’s a shame if you visit the pages here and don’t find anything new. I have to see how I can reconcile that with Discord … I also have to open up my YouTube channel a bit, I think of it …

This blog post will be continuously expanded until the stream on Sunday, June 20th, 2021 …

Draw a different way!

Drawing in watercolors sounds pretty weird, I’ll admit that. I also came across it by chance because I was just trying something out again with my glass pen. This is how I found out how the pen can simply be “equipped” with paint and how it can be used very easily.

So I can use the “dirty colors” of my palettes to make beautiful drawings in watercolor or just to practice. The eraser is “clean water” and my “reverse brush”. You can also blend with it. Sounds interesting? I will introduce this in one of my next streams. Daily quick sketches follow …

Update: Now I’m sketching the topic of “Hidden Creatures” – It’s exciting and funny – Today on Discord I had a creative exchange with some members.

My next watercolor projects

Today I have already prepared some motifs that I will work through in the next few weeks. This also includes a complex London city scene that I would like to break down piece by piece. I don’t know yet whether I’ll succeed. In any case, I’ve already thought about it and captured everything in a small photo series. More on this on Sunday. I would like to paint the watercolor again in Din A2 size, provided the block fits on the computer table. Maybe someone would like to paint it too. The free template comes from Pixabay …

Painting the subject

Yes, painting is fun! Even if things don’t go as I imagined. I noticed that at some point I didn’t want to paint like the teacher tell or copy any more. I think that was at some point in a watercolor course in Uelzen. Then it went wild with me. Everything didn’t go the way I wanted it to. And that’s exactly what I find the most difficult thing about watercolor painting. Implement your own ideas freely. That’s what makes up most of the work for me. Past me the assembly line painting. Try to implement your own ideas, get creative. Think up motifs. Sometimes you can also work without templates or to separate yourself from the template. These are things that concern me at the moment. Painting like at the beginning. Accept all of this.

And? I still enjoy it. Maybe even more than ever … (Thanks to Anita Ulrich)
